The fabric on the left is called 'Spectators' designed by LucienneHeal Fabrics Ltd in 1953, these fabrics won an award at the Milan Triennale. Although they were designed originally over 50 years ago, these designs are still commonly used for home furnishings and living decoration. Famously are the range sold in Elle home wear. When I initially saw these fabrics I assumed they were fairly modern, I was definitely surprised at them being 50 years + old. They are very quirky and ahead of their time, which I really like, there isnt anything too fussy going on instead the detail is on concentration shape and line work.
