The brief asks for a bag to be produced to contain all the different products I am developing, I wanted to create something a little bit special a 'keep me' bag which is something children strangely love. As each of my products got developed and my work progressed I had a clear idea of what I wanted to produce. I wanted elements from the books to be used on the bag, but I didn't want the bag to be highly influenced from them. So I decided to use the vines, this has been a key part of the design process thought the brief from beginning to end so I felt it was a crucial element to include. To help steer it a bit further away from the books, I changed the vines so the only contained leaves, rather than silhouettes influenced from the books. The colour scheme for the bag has been influenced highly from the website, something that has continuously helped me throughout this brief, this also establishes a link between my work and the 'real life' roald dahl merchandise. A final decision I made with the book was the addition of the website, as I said it has been an important research resource for myself but aside from this, more and more bags are promoting themselves through the information they put on bags, so to try and help my bag have further professional qualities I decided it would be in my best interest to add this.
