I decided the best place to start would be to get out there in the trees and woodland for myself and take some photographs of the trees and there surroundings for my to illustrate from. I really enjoyed going outside and doing something a little different, however it was extremely cold, the lake had frozen over so some of the photographs are not too clear due to breath on the lens. This issue aside the shapes and silhouettes on some of the photographs are perfect for what I want.
