Car tyre rubings

Rather than using photographs, I decided to get my shapes and patterns from rubbings of various tyres, the ones I have posted below are the ones which have turned out the best. I really like the rubbing as it is, the texture and rough quality the pattern has is really beautiful, I think I am going to try and develop this style into something I can possibly use for one of the wallpapers, the untouched rubbings work really well and it would be a shame not to use them and move straight onto vectors, I am going to explore further into how I can incorporate this.
