Pencil Leaves

I had a random idea of making the leaf prints into tress and see what affect I would get, just a quick experiment. I have used pencil to experiment with a different material and to introduce some colour into my work as everything has been black ink so far. These leaves are from conifers and the illustration hasn't moved too far away from the original illustrations, so im going to test out some more abstract ideas. Aside form this I do quiet like the free hand drawings and they bring a really roughness to the image, compared to some of the ink drawings they look much more controlled.
