James & the giant peach characters

I have started off this brief looking at the main characters in the book and drawn some silhouettes of them in illustrator. I am not extactly sure on my design ideas yet, but I really love the designs by Rob Ryan and this style of work could really influence this brief. Below are the characters, the shapes are from the film I decided it would be more recognisable to use these shapes than to make my own up, plus it saves me a lot of time. Unfortunately some of them don't work as well as others, I had planned to use them as quite focal points on the cover, but I am going to have to test this out as I mentioned some of them don't work the best.
