After the previous post from today I have developed the two below images, they are both based on a similar layout but from this is have looked at the different colours and the different placements of trees. The first image is based on earlier layouts and doesn't really take into account the composition of the background and the story that is being told, it looks too busy and unthought about. I do really like the two separate blocks of colour this works really well, much better with the un even shapes than the straight edged boxes I had originally looked at.
The second image is based on a recent development, the placement of the trees works much better and helps tell the story. I can see further development with this layout and look at using different scenes and textures to bring the image to life. I also much prefer the colouring of the below image, the lighter sky works better with the bright green than the above which seems too much.
